How the hell does a bobcat learn to do that? How do they know to avoid the venomous bite?

Is that a bobcat or a linx? I didn't think bobcats had such pronounced ear tufts.

Read the book “Illumination in the Flatwoods”. It talks a lot about critters discerning which other critters can hurt them vs those that can’t.

As a side affect, you’ll start killing lots of turkeys.

That cat discerned that he was gonna fuck that snake up. Then proceeded to fuck that snake up.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Oh yeah. Birds of prey are killers for sure.
Killing to survive vs killing just for fun puts a cat in a different category of predators for me.

Listen to Mike Chamberlain’s podcast about a pair of great horned owls. Killing machines

I saw one this morning while hunting and thought of it. Watched a pack of 6 jakes feed in a bottom with the owl perched about 40 yards away. He was watching them the whole time. Pretty cool.

That jack russell didn’t have quite the same finesse but did quick work.
