Nice killin, in regard to the creedmoor, factory rounds the GMX is a hammer and both the 6.5's I have will one hole the things and Ive killed more than the average hunter will see in a decade with them. That being said if you want to absolutely kill the shit out of something the 130gr sierra HPBT game king is the bullet, the ones that run leave a great blood trail but most don't run. The Sierra will mess up some meat if that matters to you, makes no difference to me.

Neither of those calibers were designed to kill deer.

i've had much better results when i switched to a lower grain round. I've had tremendous success with hornady 120 grain gmx and 129 grain hornady. using these bullets every deer i've shot has a) dropped dead in tracks or b) run no more than 25 yards

That’s a great idea. I’m sending you my autographed pic of Dabo.

Does it say, “Couldn’t have done it without you.” Cause that applies to the coots, as well.

It was sure cold, and really windy. Wind laid down around 5:20 and he got up at 5:30.

I think I am going to take a page from the FSU playbook and opt out of the sports forum for the rest of the season. Every time ECU posts something, I get dumber, and I don’t have much wiggle room in that respect.

Turbo is spot on. Since Covid, my wife won’t get within 6 feet of me.
I think it’s just an excuse...

    Good killing,

Before I was banned from the fb page the boys on South Carolina Deer Hunters said the 6.5CM is the greatest thing to ever happen to deer hunting.

Thanks. I enjoy shooting it. I understand that no matter how good a shot I make, sometimes they are going to run a ways. I would just like a little blood to follow. I’m going to take Coastal Woodie’s advice and try his round. If no better, I will go back to my trusty .300 WSM.

Here is all of the blood I found, an inch left of the rock.
