When trolling/drifting, would you say that jigs or minnows work best on average?

My father caught a 5 lb 4 oz Crappie out of the “Warden’s Pond” at Wateree Correctional when I was 10’ish. Mark was a friend of ours and we fished there a lot.

As an aside, I was probably about that same age and WC allowed “conjugal visits”. We left there about mid July one afternoon and there were 15 or so tents pitched on the baseball field in the dead sun. My grandfather shook his head and said “a man’s gotta be hard up for some sex”
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right
