    Default What did I see?

Yesterday on 26, on the back of a 40' trailer was what appeared to be a large boom that I am guessing was 80' in length (doubled).

On the end was what looked like one of these about the size of a Subaru...

Now I don't reckon there is much call for a car sized hole saw, so what would they be cutting or boring with such a rig?

Big Core drill for concrete or caissons?
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Sounds like a machine CSX had rented when they redid the trestle over Broad River just above the SC 72 bridge at Carlisle. It was used to bore holes for concrete pilings.
