Where can one find the up to date, pertinent mask laws for an area? Just went to Publix in my area which has a new sign that's got me looking for a fight. I will continue to ignore it regardless, though no longer quietly. Time to start making people uncomfortable. But I want to have my ducks in a row before I show my ass though.

The sign said customers are legally required to use a facial covering over nose and mouths while in store. Lex county, outside of city limits. Do they have a legal leg to stand on?

I didn’t think Lexington county had extended their ordinance. I could be wrong but I seem to remember hearing that.

They have that right, no doubt. I'll ignore it, and they are free to enforce it and ask me to leave, and I will. However, if they are misrepresenting the law, using scare tactics to influence the few holdouts, then that where I have an issue. I'll dig my heels in even deeper at that point.

There's a fine line between respecting the wishes of an owner of a private entity and bowing down to political shenanigans and their use of corporations to pressure people into compliance.

I solved the problem with a mesh camo 1/2 face mask- I can breath free- glasses don't fog up- no one has said anything negative and the shop owners can say they are complying as required to stay open- the Patriot owners have signs but when you enter- everyone is free balling so to speak. Went to PSA the other day- zero masks anywhere.
