    Default Wheat

Had a 100 lbs of wheat I was planning to plant in November, but didn’t get it done. Will it last til next year or do I need to just add it to the bird feeders? Never held that much seed over til the next year.

Add it to bird feeder. Bugs will ruin it by next year.

Ain’t no reason you can’t plant it in December

You're not really worried about germination anyway if you're putting it out for doves but unless you can keep it in a freezer or fumigate it, it will be bug flour by next year.

You reminded me that it's already the end of November and I also still have a big stash of wheat that I need to put out tomorrow. Thanks for the reminder.

I planted 200lbs in my front yard. Deer devoured it.

I poured some corn in the back of my yard the other day for the deer and squirrels and it started growing soon thereafter.

You can still plant it now, feed it, or if you want to save it put it in a 55 gal drum and fumigate it with Aluminum Phosphide Tablets then shrink wrap it tight and it will be fine next year.

Did it attract any doves though?

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!
