    Default Painting old decoys?

I know this has been discussed but I have 1-2 dozen old mallard decoys and am considering painting them. You think if I rattle can flat black and orangeish bill that will work decent or should I leave them the way they are (faded out)? Looking for a low effort way to increase decoy numbers.

I don’t know where you hunt but I’d paint em all up black like coots. Clean the decoys well and rattle can away with a flat paint/primer in one.

These would mostly be used river hunting lowcountry.

    Painters tape is your friend.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
