Local farm worker kid told me his uncle saw a guy in a boat take 2 young guys in waders out in the woods and leave them in DD on tuesday. Said they had on waders and had a few propane tanks and a heater and stove for the tanks. Said he was in a tree deer hunting and they came right under him on the creek he was hunting and didn't know he was there. They went in and the older guy came out 20 minutes later and the boat was empty. He said the way they went he didn't know of any dry ground close by after the ridge he was on.

Dedication. I'll spend it behind the wheel to get to a 7 mallard limit before spending that same time laying in the woods for 4. To each his own, and I hope they wear them out...

7 in the am and 7 in the pm, isn’t that the way the do it up there?

Talked to a guy that just got back from private leases in AR, said more ducks than he has seen in years. Figures the border shutdown helped, an extra 2 million ducks in the states but who knows

That’s a big negative on extra ducks because of the border being closed down. The AGFC mention in a recent report that the numbers of ducks killed up there is negligible in the big scheme of things,

Going OOS has ruined my desire to duck hunt here in the upstate. We had solid hunts in AR last December and are heading back in a couple of weeks. Used to hunt around the house but for awhile very high school kid with a Drake pullover was out and it ruined my local spots. Just can’t get fired up to shoot 2 wood ducks or fight the crowds. Rather just sit in a deer stand and avoid the crowds. I’ve sat in line at 4:00 in the morning in TN to hunt public ground and that sucked. I do get it if it’s a traditional things with your buddies.

It's all you expect. Glorious and legal. 7 drakes in a pile makes a nice photo. Make sure to leg check them all. Pro tip.

Wrong direction as well, and it is 8 up there. You won't kill 6 man greenhead only limits of those trying to do it twice a day unless you brought a whole other crew to scout for you that won't be hunting. You can be in the Pacific Flyway quicker, to some great hunting in the PF in about the same time, and the shit for about 3 hours extra. Or you can spend that time in the woods of Arkansas or Butthole Island at Potato Creek polishing up on your camping skills.
