Picking up a New Browning T Bolt target next week and have no experience with the caliber. Where should I start (manufacture and grain weight) for accurate Ammo?

CCI, it’s a .17 don’t overthink it.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
You might take out a dozen before they drag you from your home and skull fuck you to death. Marsh Chicken 6/21/2013
Fun gun to regulate with! 3x CCI
I usually shoot the CCI 20 grain JHP. The 17 grain VMax are a bit too explosive on small game. I haven't found much variance in any of the ammo I've shot.
Great thanks guys
I have good luck with Hornady and CCI.

Mine shoots the hornady 17 gr Vmax the best. Downside is it will about tear a tree rat in half.
Good deal. Got the gun, scope and rings in yesterday. Will post when I put it all together.
It’s a .17 with a scope and ammo is cheap. Just grab what you can find, sight it in, then aim for the head. It’s a great caliber, IMHO.
