    Default Thanksgiving

It is very interesting the number of patients I talk to who are NOT having a family thanksgiving this year.

In some cases, its the "grandparents" saying they dont want to come due to the larger circles of the grandkids.

In other cases, its the Mom or Dad of the family not wanting to "infect" the grandparents.

I find this very interesting (and disturbing) when I drive around town and, other than the masks, people are out and about like normal.

Who is to "blame" for this phenomenon?
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.

I made this same post earlier and deleted it because it was depressing.

I am most shocked by the young adults who are terrified of coming out of their little city bubbles and being "exposed".

We are all systems go. Plenty of great deals at the meat counter right now, too...

It’s a great excuse not to see people you don’t want to see.

I think this does play a role. For some in our family, it's a way they can get out of traveling for a few hours for a meal. It's an effort for some of the out of towners.

i like to depress you people with facts.

Apparently, the way to combat this is to put out all your christmas decorations now....

2th's right, everyone should put up their Christmas decorations now. I can't believe the number of people who are "voluntarily" cancelling T'giving............

My grandmother is having Thanksgiving as normal, she is 85. I see her daily and hope nothing happens. We are just going to eat outside in her building I finished up this summer.

Christmas too. That nonsense has already started as well, with CNN leading the way...

Smart people would be buying Amazon knowing that the guilt of not seeing little Tommy and Rebecca, er Tahoe and Oaklynn, will be compensated with copious amounts of online orders...

We're cooking as usual for our mothers and step-fathers at our house. Covid, Shmovid, you gotta eat. Family has to family.

We're having Thanksgiving, with friends, on an OOS hunting trip. We did put the tree up last Saturday, gonna decorate it tonight, and I hope that bothers some of you people....

There is enough bad blood in my quasi family that it will be a small affair at best. I like to see most of them just not all in the same time and location. Has nothing to do with the Rona.
