    Default Slow morning

Been a slow morning here in Aiken County. Only heard 4 shots and haven’t seen a thing yet.

It’s hot, moon’s out, mid-November and deer aren’t stupid still. I saw a little button last night.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I saw a coon... sitting in my quadpod stand when I got there. Nothing else

I'm going to have to start charging him rent. That's the 3rd time he's been in there keeping the seat warm this season.

I saw three coons last night. They were coming through 4 inches of water and taking long, slow, deliberate steps. It was as if they were somehow trying to keep their feet dry. It was almost comical...

Was dead as a hammer yesterday morn. Saw a basket 8 at last light. Buck ran does by me early this morn but couldn’t get a decent look to see what he was. Big cow horn showed up a while later. Heard a dozen shots all around in the distance till 10. Was a good morning and great to have some 40s again.

My brother shot a good doe yesterday - redeemed himself for a bad shot on a buck last weekend. Popped her at about 250 in a corn pile with his Ruger #1 270. One of only three deer seen - they came in a 9 AM.

I sat this evening and saw three small does and a spike. One of the does kicked the shit out of the spike. This morning, another member shot the buck my brother nicked last weekend, so that's a mystery solved.
