    Default Wood Duck Boxes

Just a reminder that SCDNR is accepting applications for Wood duck boxes.

I didn't even get an email reminder this year. I hope all of the free boxes are getting put to true use instead of left in the shed or sold. I haven't been able to get any in 3 years. Probably 75% I see on public water are 10 years overdue for repairs or replacement.

Same here. I got the email yesterday around 1 pm, checked email and applied around 2 pm, they closed the application process around 3 pm. I've been on a similar timeline the last 3 years and come up empty.

Yet somehow a lot of boxes sit under a shed not picked up. Still not sure how that happens.

They did last year when I showed up too. Said they were left from the previous crop that never got picked up.

That ain't the DNR's fault. You apply, get selected then never show, that's just people being people.
