Pretty much any GoPro will work for a 13yo.
Easton has the Hero 5 I think. Does really well and he’s yet to break it yet so....
Chest or head mount if he wants to film fishing.

Black Duck
The Black models have Looping capabilities. That's important.
They work good for fishing, kayaking, underwater filming.
They suck for duck hunting or deer hunting......where a workable zoom is needed. A Sony Handicam JD would be a better choice.
