Picking up a dog there after Thanksgiving and will stay the night. Any restaurant recommendations while we are there?

I drive hundreds of miles out of the way to avoid that shithole every year. Have them meet you at the first Cabelas SE of the city (I forget the town) and be done with it. Good luck with your new cat.

It might be worth the risk then. Keep us updated on how the dog performs.

Drive that far for a mile or more? The local dog shelter is closer.

Good luck with the new hound. Interesting breed.

At the risk of being redundant, I'd avoid the hell out of that shit hole and have them meet me somewhere.

I had supper at the St. Paul Grill across the river.

    It was delicious.

I drank the remainder of the only bottle of 101 that they had and it, too, was delicious.

IMHO, the single best restaurant in the Twin Cities is Manny’s. Rated a top 10 Steak house. It is. Start with a marrow bone appetizer, then Get a bone in Rib-eye. Standard steakhouse sides here. I always get the truffled fries.

St Paul Grill is a solid choice, as is Spoon and Stable.

When I have time for more than one supper, it’s JD Hoyt’s for their incredible pork chops.

Incredible steaks here too. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Enjoy. Pro tip, if you don’t have a vehicle or a friend drive you, carefully research Uber. Hard to enjoy your supper if you were transported to the restaurant by one of the local smelly Somali taxi drivers. I kid you not.
