    Default Banded waders?

Any thoughts or personal experience with them? I started shopping around for a new pair today and found some locally for $399. Seems like lots of places are out. I have had quite a few different brands over the years (neoprene) and it seems like no matter how much or how little I use them they always start leaking at seams after 2-3 years. Generally never have issues w punctures.

I've never owned a pair myself but from what I hear if you have a pair and you like them you got a reverse lemon.

Mine lasted 3 years before a leak. Based on the reviews now days. I’d get a pair of Rogers and call it a day

Don’t buy them. Hate on me but Sitka are the ticket.

I've always been a fan of lacrosse waders. Have had this pair 3 years and not a leak yet.

I’ve been lucky. No issues at all with banded waders and I’ve worn them exclusively for 6 years now. I usually have 2 pair of chest waders in rotation and often times a pair of waist highs. Uninsulated when I’ll be walking a lot but not standing in water the entire hunt, insulated for boat spots I’ll ride a boat into and stand next to a tree. I usually get 2-3 years out of a pair. Never had a pair leak out of the box.

I make sure they’re in a dry spot and laid out in the off season. On wader racks every time after hunts during season.

40-50 days a year in waders.

Do your froggs have velcro shoulder straps?

I’m in season 4 of a pair of Rodgers and really have enjoyed them. Only advise I’d give is order a size smaller. I hunt 40+ days a year and fish all winter in them.

I don’t dislike my banded waders, bought them new before last season and had zero issues, but my next pair will be Sitka zips.
