Awesome 500+ yards- you already talked about the rifle- what about the scope used to make that shot-looks like Leopold, and what kind of penetration did you get at that distance on a big bull? I see this on TV but there is no info after the kill concerning bullet placement and performance.

I wanted to do this when I was younger but it was really hard to find out info back then- the internet and satellite imagery has made this stuff much easier to do.

Leupold VX5HD 3-15x44. The bullet performed like it was supposed to.

Great job and great pics!! Congratulations!! I read that with nothing but envy and admiration. I’d love to do a trip like that one day. How tough of a DIY would you say your first trip out there was?
Living in Moncks Corner but looking forward to moving back to the West Coast in 2020 where there are more ducks and less duck hunters!! LOL

You’ve had one hell of a fall. Great work
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right

They don't put Championship rings on smooth hands

It’s doable if you’re prepared. If you’re not prepared it’ll kick your butt.
