To the original poster be sure to follow all product label guidelines. Cats can be very sensitive to drugs that are fine for dogs.

Should be just fine, hopefully it will work. Have seen instances where random over the counter or canine products have been used with negative/adverse effects on felines. Withany premise treatments follow precaution guidelines.

Didn't read all the post but we lived in a house years ago. No flea issues on the animals when we got there. Couldn't get rid of them soon after arriving. Started whacking squirrels...like lots of them. Flea problem went away. Neighbors were even blown away by the change

An old school chum of mine last year faced a similar problem but in his case the carriers were not squirrels but rats and mice. He is a farmer so their was a lot of things for the pests to eat and soon he witnessed something like this on his yard

At first he wanted to get tons of poison but then gave up the idea not sure that his own pets won't eat it. He bought several ultrasonic repellers (about $50 each) and presently all of the pests or at least the majority of them were deterred from his household.
