    Default Pond lime

Does anyone know of a pond liming contractor in the central or upstate area? Found one in Bluffton but that is a long haul to Laurens. Any suggestions appreciated.

Call your local ag retailer and get them to back up the spreader truck to the pond and let it fly.

Too many trees around the banks. Only would work on the dam. Did just that last time we limed pastures. Need someone with a barge. Did it with bagged lime and jon boat 10 years ago but need too much this time.

Why are you liming your pond?

Contact Gene Hayes with Outdoor Aquatics ( he’s in the upstate) and does a great job of management.

If that’s the same Gene I’m thinking of he was a fisheries biologist for DNR for years. Took me on some of my first turkey hunts years ago, really good guy

We called Marcus Cook in Gray Court, he has a farm and some other businesses.
They do lawn and parking lot maintenance for ZF

Gene has retired and the guy from bluffton took over his business. He had been our biologist for years. He was great.

I need to lime because our new biologist did a bottom sample as part of treating an algae issue and discovered that we were extremely low in nutrients that liming will improve.

Have not tried Marcus but will call him today. Thank you for the idea.

I can't belive that there is only 1 guy in the entire state that does this but if the "brain trust" here doesn't know about it....
