    Default Synthetic doe pee...

....Sure had this guy fired up.

Haven't used any kind of scent in over 10 years but stopped to get a thermacell refill yesterday and said what the hell. Bought the cheapest bottle.

Uncapped it on the way in to drop some on my boot, stuck my finger in the cap, dribbled it all over my hand...this stuff is rank but not as bad as the real stuff was.

10 minutes after I settle up under a privet hedge he's trying to come through it from the other side. Finally backs out and comes around it 7 steps. Lock eyes, muzzle pointed at his nose as I ease the hammer back. Figured he was gonna bolt so I swing for a point blank shot and he jumps off.
5 minutes later he steps back out at 20 yards....

Never been into hunting for antlers, I enjoy collecting sheds though. This probably ties my second biggest buck after 24 years of hunting.

    Nice buck!

I, too, tried some synthetic doe pee earlier this week with an 8 point to show for it. I, too, hadn't used scents in several years.

    Nice buck deer.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. -Tecumseh-
