Oh, left out the fact that White House has a pump that keeps ditches dry.
I don’t know shit about samworth or the area but why can’t the state run a pump then? For 5 million you could run power out there to multiple pumps.

Most of the 5 mill prolly went to permitting, architects, and more permitting..... Also if money was actually an issue then why did none of them take up Duck Tape when more funds got offered?????

“Duck hunting gives a man a chance to see the loneliest places …blinds washed by a rolling surf, blue and gold autumn marshes, …a rice field in the rain, flooded pin-oak forests or any remote river delta. In duck hunting the scene is as important as the shooting.” ~ Erwin Bauer, The Duck Hunter’s Bible, 1965

Here's a huge difference! I do not know jack about either of these properties but i do know that the States requirements as far as permitting and design are way over board. Its one thing to do it by the book, but another to let a good operator go that knows what needs to happen... See it everyday working in both the private and public sector. I have seen it in both instances and both achieved what they set out to do. One spent a pile of money on the front end... Imagine something DOT of the natural resources.

the barge deal, well that's a whole different ball of wax!! I know this first hand also and it is a HUGE pain in the ass!!!

9 months out of the year I’m home sick for SC, during duck season I’m thankful I don’t live in SC.

The sooner you realize no government agency on this planet will ever attain even the slightest achievement the better off you'll be.

Crying shame, do less, spend more, then fill the tote full of excuses and failures. You may win me over to your thoughts on public land ownership one day at least as far as SC is concerned, abysmal. Then I trounce into Indiana, or Missouri or Alabama or Arkansas or Illinois or Kansas or Nebraska or Kentuck and see giant rivers that make our floods look small in size and duration and tornadoes and droughts and the people there get it done with a smile and well and I have hope. I never have been the brightest realist.

Just from the outside looking in, CWS comes across as a bunch of pretentious and whiny children.

If we can permit and directionally drill a massive water main under the Kiawah river for a little more than that price that has been thrown around in here, they should be able to freaking handle a dewatering line item to get in there and do proper maintenance/planting.

Is Frank still running the barge down there?

You are onto something , but per some that would also make you whiny and pretentious.

I'll play - I'll call your pretentious and whiny card and raise you a stfu plus an I don't give a damn lip smacker. Skin it.

What the hell are you doing for SC hunting improvement other than eating twinkies and talking shat, what meetings have you attended, what volunteer work have you done with your own time for the greater good of hunting? Mouthy punks don't sit well with me these days, same shat that got us where we are today, run your mouth, sit on the couch and run the flapper.

    Stick with tennis balls bo.

You haven't questioned him until now. Just thrown out insults. Are you dating Ceddy?

How does calling into question management practices that are obviously lacking in success make someone whiny and pretentious? This could be an adult conversation with opinions all around, but you have to throw out insults, which is all you seem to offer, so why not excuse yourself from this conversation and do something else with your afternoon?
