One thing I’ve learned from all of my years hunting hard that ALWAYS holds true,
when things are going your way...some call it luck, but I think somehow you just get in tune with some energy that’s out there...regardless, when it’s going your way, RIDE IT! Cranes were not cooperating, so I decided to try to fill one of my two remaining tags this am. I spotted them, slipped into the creek bottom, and and called just enough while crawling through the grass to keep them from fleeing. Finally got one jake curious enough to walk 10 yards closer and connected with my Crane Setup on a 45 yard poke. I’m about to go buy a lottery ticket and try to vote early!

In duck hunting the scene is as important as the shooting.” ~ Erwin Bauer, The Duck Hunter’s Bible, 1965

You are livin’ the dream brother. Enjoy it!
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. -Tecumseh-

I’d certainly have to go fishing too, and check the knots.
