Default saturday was a decent day

I wonder what it lands on rubberheads activity calendar.

Note we didnt lose a deer, over complicate things with certain camo patterns, or discuss saddles, correct calibers for young people, or where to hold the scope on a 150yd+ shot....

If you’d work Fridays you could afford camo for your daughter

It all started friday morning when Lauren said she could hunt before school since it was "Spirit Week" and she didnt have to be there till 9. We had a decent buck in the scope 3 different times that morning but never could get the shot. It was a neat hunt. She got interested again....

So, she got a little mad at me when I said I was hunting Saturday by myself. Shit happens. I'm not the perfect dad. We can hunt after the clemson game...

So, I went to my new place and sat on the ground with the rifle. My buck came in following a doe and got hisself kilt. He was on my "hit list" which includes any buck anyone is happy with. Mr Gene helped me drag and clean. I am sure he will help me eat him, too.

Saturday evening was hot. We almost went back to spot where we hunted friday morning but decided against it. Her buck came out at dark tending a doe. He was doing his best not to let her come out of the woods and into the open. Darn thing was trotting dead away from us. Wouldn't turn. Finally did....and she missed. Her first miss ever. For some reason, the Lord said it was our day. Deer stayed. Got a new shell in. He trotted off. Finally turned a tad. I was trying to calm her (me) down. She shoots. Deer kicks and runs off. I told her she hit it. She did.

    The end.
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.

Good job 2th, congrats to the young lady.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Don’t let them get you good kills and great stories

Black is my go too. Camo is useless for deer.

    They are definitely acting fool.

I had a 6pt run wide open from one end of the food plot to the other where two doe were standing.
I thought he was gonna tackle one of them.

He stopped just short to my amazement they didn’t flinch.

Then he did the drop the head and poke the lip out and the doe were off to the races.

The big doe kept coming back out but every time the smaller doe would try a new buck would be standing around the food plot almost like pinball to keep the fun going.
    Yup, he's crazy...

Yep. I like rh's calendar and it makes sense...but I can hunt friday and saturday and deer are definitely doing deer stuff right now.
Gene heard a buck making a racket and some noises he aint heard before. And does blowing right in buck's faces and none of the other does flinch. Like they have their own language and stuff....
