    Default Dog First Aid Kit Contents

    Out of curiosity, for those who carry dog first aid kits with you upland or waterfowl. What do you have in them and what would you say is an absolute necessity?

    Splint, tourniquet, a decent set of shears, a chest seal, a small bottle of isopropyl alcohol and a collapsible or cloth muzzle would be a good start.

    suture kit, antibiotics, dex, super glue, rolls of gauze, ace bandages, betadine, antihistamines, syringes, large ones to hydrate them if they overheat small one w/needles for other things, gatorade, peroxide, EMT gel, scalpel, hemostat and I am sure I am forgetting something.

    Sutures, drivers, gauze, tape, razor, mushers secret, bandaids, superglue, quickclot pads. In addition to others listed above.

    I made one kit, have dog and people stuff in it for oos trips.

    You need to carry everything that you would need to perform this while in the wilds of Saskatchewan...

    Benadryl and a straw to put down there throat in the event of a snake bite to the head or throat. Keep airway open from swelling.
