There is a nest around the corner from the house that is big enough to live in. This thing is huge and they are steady adding to it. We watch them and the young in early spring about every day from the water. Really neat.

Have had one on my pond a few years ago and see a couple occasionally on local flood control ponds nearby. Northern Laurens co.

Reelfoot is famous for them among other things. Our club is just north of the lake and we see them on the regular up there. There’s a big lone tree on one of our levies that is always referred to as the Eagle Tree because of a pair that always perches up there hunting. They are also very opportunistic and don’t mind taking a downed duck that hasn’t been retrieved yet.

I see one on Goose Creek reservoir quite often. A few years ago, while ice fishing on the Mississippi in Wisconsin, there were, like 30 of them in 1 tree above open water and many more elsewhere.

I see them In Chesterfield County a good bit. Two had a nest on my buddy's land and let me tell you it's awesome how big they make their nests. They would come down and perch up on the wood duck boxes and grab fish from the pond. "How the hell am I supposed to fish with all of this going on, Doug?!"
