    Default Bassmasters Open Series

The 2nd Eastern open was on Lake Hartwell this week and the South Carolina guys did pretty good. Patrick Walters from Summerville won, Jamey Rampey from The upstate was second, Andy Wicker From Pomaria was 3rd, Bobby Stanfill from Greenwood was 4th and Brandon Finished 10th. Had a crowd of the Elites competing and 179 total boats. The Elites are headed to Guntersville next week.

Buzzbait was doing work for him yesterday, hope he can do it again. Watching him on Bassmaster Live now.

Had a tough day today, didn’t have any fish around lunch time, scrabbled and caught 5 for 10 lbs and squeezed in tomorrow. Said he had a good many bites early just missing the buzz bait. In 9th, see what happens tomorrow. He said the lake will be crazy tomorrow, they have the 200+ Boat spro frog tournament. See what happens.

Brandon wound up 8th, pretty good event overall, moved up to 30th in the points for the Classic. Also won an extra $3k for the Toyota bonus bucks, 2nd time this year. I went over today and helped him do a few things on his boat, with COVID delays he is pretty much traveling or fishing for I believe 42 straight days. As soon as we finished, he was headed to Santee for this week and then to Chickamauga Next week. Hope he has a good event this week, if you low country guys see him say hello.

Water temperature has gone from 88 to 68 in 3 weeks. I think Santee may be a tough tourney like Guntersville was.
