Don’t knock it until you try it. In all honesty, it’s a fun river snack. You’ll get a few that will bite and most will not. Honestly they’re not that terrible. But getting back on track....

Dadgum, Mudder, you are now a contender for the title. Nice photos. Heartily endorse that side of Basil Hayden.

they're stupid corn flavored rums, a sideways step from beer hipsters, bourbon snobs from out of town are the most obnoxious people I deal with.

I should say want to be snobs, There's no way their palates are as sophisticated as they think they are.

This made me laugh. I was just thinking that uppity bourbon is the whiskey equivalent of hoppy ipa bullshit beer. Tastes better for sure, but the accompanying exaggeration is like a course wood rasp to the base of your skull.

How about when people started trying to pre order their bourbon just for the bottle cap? Like they were still 8 years old hoping to win a prize in the Crackerjack box. The equivalent of the giant Ralph Lauren logo...

Didn't know this was even possible. Yet another shout-out to the Caesar of Camdenshire.

I got a bottle of that Taylor Barrel Proof as well. As far as uppity bourbon, I’ve got uppity rum as well. Does that count?

well, I used to enjoy rum occasionally

but I never over thought it, decent rum, nothing below Mt Gay.. with a splash of club soda. I get it doesn't have quinine like tonic, so it wasn't what sailors would go for, but it has enough sweetness already. If I wanted to cheeky, I'd just throw some sweet vermouth into scotch.. like once or twice a year and have a Rob Roy.

I’m not exactly sure why I hung this in there. Guess I got tired of seeing that empty wall.

Also, who else leaves their aluminum skiff outside? I’ve been listening to a lot of mouthy bullshit about where I keep that damn boat.

And since we’re talking about boats, have you guys noticed all the 32’ to 38’ Topaz boats for sale around 50K? If I had a place to tie one up, I’d already have one. But dockage in Charleston is another mortgage.
