What are the details on the 375 H&H?

    Oh, go with the 7mm-08.

I know a kid that is 11 and has killed 4 bucks totaling over 800 lbs with a 243. Nothing wrong with a .243. Also a big fan of 708 and currently use one between kids and mom. For all that is good on this earth do not ever use reduced recoil ammo. For anything ever. Playing with fire.

    7-08 or 6.5 in a short action. 25-06 in a long action.

Having said that, there isn't a deer in SC that the .243 won't smoke with the proper ammo at "reasonable" distances.
