It is when you use it to harvest ducks.

This isn’t exactly the case. Scattered corn is much more concentrated than a flooded corn field. I would imagine usage vs harvest rates would be much higher hunting over scattered corn.

    A few questions arise here.

So do they still choose have the artwork contest every year to choose the official one that would have gone on the stamp?

Do we still have to pay $5.50 for the "Waterfowl Permit" despite the stamp not being made?

If so, does the entity that manages that money change?

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

Probably need to explain what the duck stamp program is since what was discontinued is not the same thing as the state and federal stamp you need possess to hunt waterfowl.

Didn't ask for your opinion, I was calling you a socialist commie for wanting to tax..... the thought is just gay

Maybe hog dogs should come with a yearly tax levied directly proportional to the agricultural losses sustained in the state by feral hog damage. The increase in hog numbers directly coincided with the increase in the number of people who "bought me some hog dogs, bo". I think that would be $45 million divided by the number of hogs dogs in the state. When can we expect your check?

See how much sense you are making?

There were hogs long before I started hunting them. You are right taxing duck ponds is a stupid idea, they are perfect for for attracting hogs.

It becomes as the Saltwater stamp did many years ago. The FEE remains, just no physical stamp/prints to print. The selling of prints simply did not support itself and with the new abilities with your hunting licenses, the stamp fee becomes a line item on your license. MG

    DNR explanation
It doesn’t impact our management in SC at all. A migratory bird permit is still required to hunt. This just removes the requirement that we develop and sell prints. The proceeds from this went to Canada to support habitat work there. The problem is that not enough people were buying prints to make any money much less pay the cost for the program.
