    Default Rechargeable truck light

Looking for a rechargeable light that can mount in the truck.

It needs to be bright and have a decent battery life.

    Suggestions?

I have a few of the older models. All 6-10 yrs old. Have replaced a battery here and there but they're otherwise bulletproof. One at work, a couple in the house, and one in each vehicle with a charger permanently mounted.

If you want a smaller light, Streamlight Strion.

I'm on my second one, would still have the first one had I not left it in a dirtbags car. Have a couple of the bigger stinger DS and they're good lights but the batteries don't seem to last as long as the smaller light with the same light output.

Nitecore. Pricey, but the brightest of them all.

I have a Streamlight polytac with a rechargeable battery. I like how compact it is. Only bad part is you've got to take the battery out to charge it. Otherwise no complaints. Plenty bright, great for hunting or tracking. Plus the plastic housing in lieu of metal makes it easier to hold in your teeth when you've got to do something with your hands. Good little flashlight

    Surefire 6PX PRO

    https://www.opticsplanet.com/surefir...20-lumens.html

    $70 on Amazon

I have a Maglite ML300L LED 3-Cell D from Walmart (about $40) in there too, a little over 600 lumens but a lot longer if needed to tap on stuff.
