    Default Squirrels

Anybody else notice a massive decline on the population over the summer?

My yard has gone from 20-25 last year down to one.

I've got live and white oak acorns rotting on the ground.....and they are the only oaks within a 1/4 of a mile.

I've got a yard full of oaks and the squirrels are still plentiful my way. You can come pick some up if you'd like.

I’ve actually seen an increase around our place. I believe that’s what my Boykin was fighting with a few weeks ago. I looked out in the yard and she was rolling around with something. By the time I got outside she was barking up into a tree.

Don't need anymore. We are down to my wife's favorite one.

I have a pair of hawks and some owls working my yard, but I've been here 20 years and the population just dropped this year.

I’ll have Jake tone it down this season

I have been killing 6-8 a week for the last 2 years off of our bird feeders. I have not seen a single one in the last month or so.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. -Tecumseh-

Maybe migrating hawks have them laying low.

Squirrels are the same, rabbits are declining again. Two feral cats need to be removed.

Local police asked if I knew anything about squirrels being found dead with body holes in nearby yards. I honestly had to say I didn't. I wish I could fess up to that.
It's not enough to simply tolerate the 2nd Amendment as an antiquated inconvenience. Caring for the 2nd Amendment means fighting to restore long lost rights.

I was just thinking to myself today that I've seen a decline in backyard squirrels.
