    Default Cell signal booster?

Getting really close to moving in and have always noticed cell signal was so-so in certain parts of the house. Since the entire thing is steel I figured it would be a problem. I'm no tech expert but my wife says there are signal boosters. Anyone else have this issue at home and or work? Do any of you have a booster that works good?

I do- got it from AT&T( my provider for my landlines and internet at my shop). Without it there is no cell inside the red iron and steel bldg. I drilled a hole to the outside for the antenna, the device sits on the iron frame and it plugs in to an outlet. Works perfect. It was about $175

I had “no service” in my barn. You know how bad the signal is there to begin with. Inside the metal building I had nothing

Bought a weboost unit and I now can make calls and surf the Internet (slowly) on my phone

I forgot I had to get a new one last year, this is a Samsung on Verizon network, no external antenna, just put it against the wall and plug in.16006880894504020925008791193533.jpg

    I've got a surecall system.

I have a metal roof, and I am right between two towers and just far enough from their coverage area that reception inside is impossible. It's useful. I have signal inside now but it can go from 4 bars of LTE to 1x in a hurry. In retrospect, I should have gotten a yagi (directional) antennae to aim at the closest tower. Mine just picks up ambient signal.

I'll fix it one day but no time soon. It was a chore getting the antennae up above the tree line around the house.

It was nice for a couple of years.

But then it was nicer to be able to check the weather on demand.

Been considering something myself but wasnt really sure where to start. Used to get good service at cabin but now it is spotty, 1-2 bars LTE. I can still make calls okay but cannot use internet hotspot anymore. The only reason I want it is it allows me to work from cabin and not have to go to the house in town just for internet. Multi tasking.

I got a WeBoost off Amazon for my truck and also for a metal building shop that had zero service before, gets about 2-3 bars now with LTE. Obviously situational for the fixed building unit with location. But both work well. The truck unit really does work.

    Call your provider.

I had virtually no service in my house. I’m the mountains and a metal roof. I called Verizon, told them it was my primary residence and I needed service there, they confirmed, and they sent me a box at no charge.

    It worked.

I just bought the weboost system with the Yagi antenna. Went from dropping calls to staying logged into my vpn and working from home. Comes with installation and it works pretty dang good
