She was nominated AFTER election,. Not before as you stated.

Do we have a thread on here discussing filling Scalia’s seat in an election year?

I doubt it. A lame duck President without the votes to confirm doesn't equal Donny Threepicks with everything he needs to put the court at 6-3. 6-3 which assures a greatly conservative leaning court for years despite John Roberts. Getting this seat is much more important to the future of this country than who wins this election. The President would be derelict in his duty not to make the appointment.

Now, how many think that if the President is reelected, Justice Thomas (72yo) will step down during his next term for a younger Justice...

    Trump will nominate by Saturday.

The Dems are dumb and showing their hand. If the Reps take the house 2022 and Trumps wins they will add two more justices in 2023. For some reason they think because they are angry they are going to win the senate too.

Trump could indeed add 2-3 more Justices when he gets re-elected.. which he will.

Should, but the Prog filth will keep that Massachusetts liberal on artificial intelligent life support for a hundred years before one of them voluntarily gives up another seat...

Well are at least the media will tell America that. Trump was elected by many holding their nose due to upcoming court selections. I may be mistaken but I think Trump pulls more off the sidelines and the defund police was a death sentence for the Democrats.

Why does the same party who champions defunding the police care so much about the Supreme Court? Aren't judges the ultimate cops? So many juxtapositions in their "beliefs".
