585 on the bench, we powerlifted fir years...wish I could go back,,would never have touched heavy weights..bad knees, shoulders, and most every other joint in my body..mornings gettin out the bed, especially with weather changes are rough...

at 55- I benched a honda rancher 420 cause I was pinned under it- I actually did a push up with it upside down on my back handlebars on my shoulders, then half rolled to get it off me

Most I benched and have no desire to bench again was 315lbs. I don't go over 225lbs now. 5 sets of 5 at 225lbs is plenty to keep me happy.
I think I did 225 once, maybe can't recall. At 40yo I recently started lifting again to get rid of the Wuhan 10 I put on, but I work out with dummbells by myself. I was always lean. Even when I was working out hard I never did the nutrition part right, like taking in enough protein. I have put on more muscle now than I've ever had and feel great.
That said, I'm confident I could put up more now than I ever did then. Need to go test those waters I reckon.

Never benched more than 330 but I watched guys push close to 475 at 2 reps, seen a class mate years ago squat 750 3 times, never got his max on squat bc the bars wouldn't hold it. Watched a bar break on his back with 800 on it. But he wouldn't try it no more because of that.
