Last year I decided to get back in shape. Quit junk food, and coke (can).
Then started a 5 minute routine every morning. Max rep of push ups, sit ups, and curls.
Currently at 75 push ups, 75 sit ups, and 40 curls.
It's just enough to keep my arms and chest in good form.
And, I don't huff/puff anymore when I have to drag a deer out, or during sex.
Lots of research out there on pushups and heart disease prevention.

250 lbs. Know a fellow who hit 950. That is getting it done!

The one and only. Great guy! Both of my boys work out with. It is amazing what they have learned from him.

I like Donnie and understand equipped lifting but it is a different sport. The Raw bench record was around 740lbs.

Oh I get it. Neither was my sport but when a human being is pressing 950lbs they are getting it done. Sure, there are a lots of ways to "get help" but in the end it is still damn near 1000lbs and just absolutely amazing to me that any man is capable of that.

Bruce Lee's recommended workout to stay in shape- 100 push ups, 100 sit ups, run 1 mile- all done as fast as you can do them- I read that long ago and don't remember where. Used to do it too and it worked.
We used to race doing the dirty dozen push up routine followed by 100 sit ups. It was no problem climbing the rope in gym class using no legs- straight up hand over hand.

No doubt. I always laughed to watch 2 or 3 other men help another put on bench shirts and squat suits. Took to mo much for me to lift them with them. But it takes serious time to learn to utilize one to the full potential.

Senior year of high school I could bench 295 once but failed a few times trying 300. I didn’t try very hard to get better. I was more concerned with staying sexy. I was about 195 and 6’2” and turned down more pussy than most of y’all have had.

Only lifted half a year as a 10th grader for football. Started in August with a max of 135. Then last max out we done before Christmas break I was up to 245. I was country strong when we started lifting but didn’t have technic or proper form. I was a 130lbs then. Never liked it. Was supposed to lift all year for football but baseball coach wouldn’t allow us to lift during season.

Today, 315 for four reps on last set, no bouncey bounce. 375 for one Monday last set. Kind of want 400 for giggles but don't think the fulcrums would dig it. Strength doesn't mean much if the cardio isn't in line as well.

Slow static pull ups on the other hand pizz me off, only 11 at the moment and that last one makes me look like a snake on malt liquor.
