    Default Hurricane Sally

I've never seen a hurricane do one good thing for a dove field. It's raining sheets here in the upstate. But Saturday is going to be too pretty not to shoot. Hope y'all weathered the storm.

I've picked up birds with them before.. they're wild silly animals. the last time it happened I had a couple few guys off of here come out, watched pile in after the wind and rain died down, and sent out a text that night. it was pretty action packed with less than a dozen of us.

“… duckhunting stands alone as an outdoor discipline. It has a tang and spirit shared by no other sport—a philosophy compounded of sleet, the winnow of unseen wings, and the reeks of marsh mud and wet wool. You ain’t lying. Sally was a bitch and half. That’s 12 inches of standing water out there. This was at 3ish. Living in a bowl is awesome.

It’s receded a good bit since. Now.

Around 3.5 in the mountains or what seems to be an average day this year...

Anyone have a number for Camden Lugoff? Power went out and the rain gauge batteries are dead.

River is supposed to hit 28 this weekend so that’s more of a concern for me than the rainfall
