Thank God my kid is going 5 days (for now).

I'm also glad to be back at work. 10 weeks at home, then 8 weeks of alternating 1 week in, 1 week home was about to drive me fuckin' nuts.

I hope things stay the way they are. However, the naysayer in me says that schools will shut down soon, and my work schedule will be modified again.

Nope. Haven't been since COVID started.

I had only been riding 2 days a week, so no big deal.

My hours are better, anyways, when I drive in.

I do kinda miss the naps, though.

If my kids school wasn't 5 days a week I would transfer them to one that is.

Yeah until you take into account the myriad of circumstances that go into a decision like that when your kids are 13 and 15. You gonna move em to a different school just because they're going 5 days a week? What if it's not as good a school? No career center? Not as many AP opportunities? I could go on.....

But it's not that easy, and I'm sure you realize that or you wouldn't have pulled yours from public to homeschool. I'm glad you had that opportunity. Others do not.

I'd ague that barring some true outliers, everyone has the opportunity. It's just a matter of what you're willing to sacrifice.
