    Default So far

Got a limit quick Saturday and another Monday. Monday, had a bird fly behind me left to right. Started to swing left then decided to swing the other way. Right knee popped outta joint. Swelled to the size of a decent cantaloupe for the past 4 days. Doc told me today I tore a meniscus. Hope we get back on track soon...

I have a 2 cm tear in my meniscus. I was a catcher, it was a play at the plate, he took me out. That was in 2005, it hurts some times, but I live with it. It tore my MCL as well.

Ouch. After tearing a ligament in my right pinkie in KS this year dodging a dead green head, I was somewhat worried I’d torn another. I suppose this was better than ripping a LCL. I think the worst part is thinking about it happening.

    Get it fixed.

I wish I knew now when it started 15 years ago.

What type of meniscus tear or did they tell you and to which area of the meniscus?
“Duck hunting gives a man a chance to see the loneliest places …blinds washed by a rolling surf, blue and gold autumn marshes, …a rice field in the rain, flooded pin-oak forests or any remote river delta. In duck hunting the scene is as important as the shooting.” ~ Erwin Bauer, The Duck Hunter’s Bible, 1965

Doc said a lateral meniscus tear. Told me to take some anti-inflammatory gel and pills to get the swelling down and gave me a brace. Wearing the brace almost makes me forget about the tear. I’m probably doing too much and making the swelling go up and down. I did knock out another limit this afternoon.
