Love them. Miss them. Hunt them early and often as long as wind allows.

Make sure to mark your deer after you shoot it. Easy to get turned around in them especially when they have grown up.

Yep- we have had to use the shooter in the stand and a looker in the cutdown more than once.

Hunted a tract with 100 acres clear cut for some years. North facing side had more growth, held deer more during early season. South facing sides were better on cold late season mornings. Hunted best the second and third years. Deer will use same trails through there that they did when it was wooded imo. Good luck

Inside corners of a clearcut are typically heavily traveled corridors...

If it's recently cut (this year), I'm sure the hunting will be pretty good but it won't compare to what it will be like in a few years if maintained correctly. I'm guessing dark thirty with a spotlight would be the prime time.

    This

Our river property we hunt has a big clear cut. 2, 3 yrs ago we were at the gate talking about what stands we were sitti that afternoon. I quickly realized no one had hunted a particular corner at all that year and said I was going to climb in that corner. About 30min after I climbed up I had two dead deer on the ground and shot them less than 5 seconds apart. Saw several other deer that evening as well

I believe that is a fact, Spur, not just your opinion. If its not then I, and very many others, hold the same opinion as you.
