    Default Surf fishing carts

Any input? I am getting a bit more interested in surf fishing these days, and am interested in either buying a USED but serviceable aluminum one made for the task, or doing something DIY with another product, like this...

Just found 'em. Yeah, less to rust, too.

I'm looking too, good ones are more than I want to spend so I started looking to dyi. High flotation tire/wheel/axel combos are high too. Folks I know that have gone the TS, Lowe's way say getting across the initial soft sand is a pain but once you get closer to the water they're fine

Get tires as wide as possible. Most of those lawn/utility carts have skinny tires. For a day long trip you’ll need a couple rods and holders, cooler, tackle, a bucket, maybe a beach chair and a cast net, so the weight adds up fast. Skinny tires cut into the sand and you’ll end up dragging all that crap as much as rolling it along. Done right, a good cart is a game changer for surf fishing for sure.

I forget the brand, but I got one from Ace at Pawleys.

Aluminum, rod holders, bait station, wide tires, etc. I've had it many years and still functions as new.

Get an insulated backpack cooler that holds beer and gear. If you need a cart you are taking more gear than is needed.

I’ve been trying to decide what I’m going to buy too. Ag Supply has some that I have used and like. Priced pretty well. The ones with balloon tires are pricey but nice on soft sand. Once you get to the wet hard sand, it’s easy going

We have Fish-N-Mates. They're expensive but it's a quality product and made in Columbia, NC. The newest one has the poly wheels and they're the tits.

I got one of those aluminum jobs you can have. Might need new wheels though. It's around here somewhere.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I've been looking as well. My Gorilla cart gave up a couple of weeks ago after 10 years (completely submerged twice, Mathew and Irma) so I would say it did its job. Larger wider tires would be a plus in the softer sand at the dunes. I'm probably heading the aluminum route when I find the right one.

not sure about fishing carts. But 2 of these have sat on the end of a dock for 8 years and just now died. Unlike the one post by the OP which have had at least 4 in the past few years. They must be replaced every 6-8 month. Have one now that is about to be added to the reef...

Back when I was a kid you could drive on the beach. I'm not sure what happened, though. Its as if the number of dumbasses increased, so they had to pass laws to keep people from walking out in front of cars and cars from driving over people laying on the beach. Not kidding.

This is cool. And I realize its off topic. Sorry.

I'll have the boys find it and the little cutting table and basket. Let me know.
