    Default Bear Expertise Needed

I don’t bear hunt and don’t really know much about them but this thing has shown up on an out of state place I have. I don’t especially want to shoot one but I’m starting to think about it. Any ideas on how big he is?2650D3F1-E5EC-4BF8-8482-D6DC4AF249BA.jpg E1C25244-39F3-4F1C-B5D8-585419A1F882.jpg

In bear hunting terms what does young male mean? Too small to shoot?

    What is the question?
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right

Is shooting this bear like shooting a cowhorn, 2.5 year old eight point, nice ten point...?

I've never shot a bear but it looks like it would make a decent rug.

Shooting a bear is a bucket list item for me, but first I want to see a pack of hounds run it up a tree

How bout this, if you see that bear while you’re hunting, and you wanna shoot him, then shoot his ass if you want to. I’ve never killed a bear, therefore, I’d shoot the shit out of him.

Damn sad what people have turned hunting into.....

I'm not shooting shit unless I plan on eating it, or if he's coming right for us.

I’m not trying to debate trophy bear hunting, I’m just asking how big it is. Quantitative or qualitatively.

You asked how big. He’s a young male. I don’t know what state, but he’s legal so do whatever you choose.

My guess would be 175 lbs range

Good deal. I’d really like to make a coat but it sounds like I’d need to kill a couple that size.

Make sure there isn’t a kernel of corn on the ground of that property.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Young bear. Big ears. If his ears look small on his head and he’s got a belly, he’s a shooter. I killed a mature male on a local HP, had a rug made and I’m done. He was pretty good eating. I enjoy seeing them and knowing they’re there. He was 8 years old and 250lbs. Got a cool hat back with his info from DNR.

This is a pretty good one. I’ve watched him for several years.
