Great looking trout there. That's the kind of vacation that's on my short list.

Thanks all. Fished the last hour of light this eve and managed a few more browns. That’s a wrap and headed home in the morn.

Vest has seen its better days. I’ve stitched a few places here and there the last couple years but it’s gotten to the point I was worried to walk by a briar bush. Not being thrifty, just hated to have to part with it as it’s been with me 25 years and seen water from here to Idaho. Came from the old orvis shop in Greenville. Wife helped me find this new Simms version that just came in today. Apparently the style isn’t so popular these days. Cleaning out the old vest was like having to shoot my horse.

Check out Waylon Thompsons nets. He's another call maker but has a side business of making nets.

Will do. I used that net exactly twice last week, two foul hooked fish.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Got the same vest that's about as old. Sadly, it's not as worn as yours- guess you get to fish a lot more. Leaving for MT in a week and going to use a dry backpack and clip-on "wader station" instead of the old vest. Plan on covering lots of miles and that vest gets a bit heavy on all day expeditions.

Would love to see a report with pictures if you are willing and best of luck to you. My wife is researching now for a trip to WY next year so maybe I will get to do similar soon. The simms guide vest is a good replacement for a full vest. I've got a bridger mountain chest/pack deal for hike in stuff and it's the same age, just sturdier and held up a lot better. They don't make those anymore either.
