I know you know what you’re doing in spades over the amount of deer rifle shooting in my 50 years by your posts alone. I envy the shit out of your rifle mainly because it’s badass and I’ve been wanting to get a long distance tack driver for years just because I want one. But can you expand on the 1/2 MOA out to 1000 yds.?? I always thought 1/2 MOA, 1/2” groups at 100 yards was pretty damn good, 1/4 even better. If I’ve got bullet holes touching at 100, I always called printing, I felt pretty damn good. But 1/2 at 1000? Like your pic appears to be 3” at 700, crazy good. Just curious if I’m completely out of the loop or that’s a typo? Thanks.

Half MOA at 1000 is 5 inches, roughly.

    1/2moa @ 1000= 5”
    @ 700 = 3.5”
    @ 500= 2.5” and so on.

The key is getting the rifle and load to perform at distances, not just 100yds.

Below is the 1000yd target. Storm started rolling in and wind starting getting erratic, so I stopped at 2.

You’re more than welcome to come along anytime and stretch out your rifles. No passion, just burning powder and rounds down range.

My man knows how to put a rifle together. Good luck with your hunt. Post pics when you get back.

How does the Big bore harvester quiet it down? Can you shoot it without ear protection or is it still pretty harsh?

I would enjoy seeing that in person. I’ve always wanted to get into long range shooting but never had the time until now.

Badass, yep in a word badass. I’ll give you $500.01 for the whole rig cash money. Don’t discount that coin, there’s a shortage now.

Congrats on an impressive build. How’d you do the load work up?
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
