    Default Columbia Rentals

Not sure where to put this so mods feel free to move it...

I work for a commercial GC in the upstate and will be moving to Columbia in October to start work on an elementary school. I will be in Columbia for 2 years. I'm looking at all the usual places like Zillow, Air BnB, etc., but figured I'd put it on here too.

I'm looking for a 2 year rental, preferably house but will look at duplexes too, in the roughly $1300-$1500 range. I don't have to be in the heart of Columbia as I'm not interested in nightlife, but just looking for a nice, secure location. Also will have a black lab so a fenced in yard would be nice but not necessarily a deal-breaker.

Please feel free to PM me or point me in the direction if you have something available or have any contacts. Thanks guys.

Where in Columbia? Downtown or outlying suburbs?
Listen to your elders. Not because they are always right but because they have more experiences of being wrong.

Look up Turner Properties. I rented from them for 3 years. Their website should have all their available properties. Easy to deal with. Had dogs with a reasonable deposit.

Cantey Property Management manages property for me, they have a website to view available rentals

I rented from the Shandon Group before buying my home and was pleased with their management. https://theshandongroup.com/properties/

Likely applies in most places, but if you don't know Columbia well, be sure to explore the neighborhood before signing a lease. Only takes a block or two to change the comfort level sometimes.

This is a rental in a great neighborhood and is currently empty. No idea on who owns it, but I can find out. A friend and his family rented it for a while transitioning homes.

Turner, Cantey, Landmark Resources, Shandon Group, Graham Realty, etc or find an individual. I would bet due to the uncertainty of Covid and more kids going virtual there might be a good bit of availability downtown

I can hit a golf ball to that house with the right wind and a decent bounce

It’s owned Or managed by Wolf and Taylor.

Bunch of us can hit it with golf balls. If you get it, invite us over for beers. What GC do you work for? That’s what I do.

I can’t hit a golf ball into my neighbors yard, but I can probably holler loud enough you could hear me. Cold beer on Furman.
