Default 75 years ago this morning

US was pulled into WWII. 11. Eleven years before I was born the bombs were dropped that ended the Pacific war. It was not good being between Pacific and Atlantic wars.

At the same time, I was raised by a lot of folks proud of their country. I wish more of their influence was still around today.

It's not enough to simply tolerate the 2nd Amendment as an antiquated inconvenience. Caring for the 2nd Amendment means fighting to restore long lost rights.

Yee yee. The look on Grandpas face when my dad handed him an M1 Garand was unforgettable. It was like he had been reunited with a long lost friend.

My grandpa put his boots on Normandy 76 years ago this past June. Kept them boots moving until the war was over, and got home to my grandma. He had three knee replacements too. Keep on feeling better.

Both of my parents were WW II veterans. Strongest people I ever knew. We are now a country of pussies.

We spent a lot of time, money and effort to teach the Empire of Japan all about the wonders of the atom. You would think that they, of all people, would have taken a little more care with that knowledge. Some kids just can't go near a cliff without jumping off...

Yes worded it wrong. Onxycotton/moron drugs are great. Old men are great. I'll stop posting. Knee sucks.

I attend the funeral of a mentor this week. WWII navy vet that served in Pacific. He was a kid during the depression and that made a major impact on his life. After the war he received a civil engineering degree from Clemson. He never had a credit rating. Never had a loan. Started a successful company in a rural county after years of surveying Hilton Head roads for SCDOT. I learned much from him about my trade, investing and conservatism. He left an orphanage his mom lived at several million $. His only discussion on war was "war is hell". He lied about his age and joined at 17. He was the youngest of 4 brother serve. He lost the oldest in Germany.
