I don’t hate Bart. I mean, if we were at a party and he came up and started talking to me, I’d be polite and listen and probably do a lot of head nodding and forcefully smile at his bad jokes, whilst sucking down whatever alcoholic beverage I happened to have, at a well above average pace. Then hopefully someone would come along that I’d feel equally ambivalent about, and I’d say, “ Have you met Bart?”, then head to the nearest bar and get a refill on what I’m sure would be a bone-dry glass.
