A Reminder

Don’t let the vocal minority skew your perspective on what’s really going on in this world. The news and social media - heck, even this site at times - can lead one down a bad path.

I got to meet a member and his son for the first time today and spent nearly all afternoon with them. It was a good reminder that there’s still a pile of damn fine folks in this world. Most of the good ones go quietly about their business, which is why we sometimes need to be reminded there’s still more good ones than bad ones.

Well said. I'm happier when I "tune out". I don't think it's the ostrich syndrome, though, because a lot of the focus on the extreme one-tenth-of-one % is just for the sake of selling commercials and getting clicks.

Well unless your going to do something about it it doesn’t make sense to watch something to keep you pissed all the time. Can’t control it so I’d rather just know it’s going on but not watch it and go on with my life.

The head in the sand/ I can’t do anything about it , why worry mentality is the main reason the country is in the shape it’s in now. Everyone fat sassy and entertained , wether it be media , sports, or the outdoors. As long as I’m comfortable attitude.

I’m trying. If our generation doesn’t I guess our kids or grandkids can “ fix it”. If that happens at least we won’t have to worry about it. We’ll all be dead and gone , along with our ideals and values that were formed before the mass indoctrination of our society began.
