    Default Yankee migration.

A democrat just flipped the former republican seat held by Peter McCoy. It was a district of only 7% black. That means Yankees did it.

The First Congressional District was taken in the last election and Rep Nancy Mace is not expected to take it back.

Now I hear Senator Graham is in a dead heat statewide.

I promised myself and Lindey's staff that I would never vote for him again. I just changed my mind.

I don’t think it would’ve made a difference. Someone is going to create the opportunity as the demand is high. Same thing in my home state of Florida except the destruction has been going on for years at a much faster pace.

One thing South Carolina has that is beneficial to stop development is that the property tax rate is crazy high especially if you have a second home as a resident or non resident. I can’t imagine what some of those people pay for taxes in Hilton head etc considering I pay double my Florida property tax for my Sc farmhouse

If the election was in November the seat likely would not have flipped. SC RINOs bring little enthusiasm to voters. Who can wait to vote for the same good ole boys again? SCANA, roads, failing schools, high taxes and most are tenured legislators.

Maybe they didn’t want the same ole shit out of Columbia.

That entire good ole boy establishment needs an enema.

Many of them are moving from a swing states to a solid state. National polling means little in the electoral college. The polls will get tighter as move closer to the election. I think it the same of strategy of 2016. Make people give up without voting.

we've got a couple of seats up here, that I wouldn't be excited to see Republicans get a hold of, at least not yet.

I agree the Yankees are a problem but don’t under estimate the people that are tired of the same O’l do nothing, spineless, rhinos that plague congress. They are just as bad as any Democrat. Anyone who has served more than six years needs to be gone...quickly. Republican or Democrat they all suck alike. New uncorrupt reps is what’s needed...and term limits. All this mess could be avoided with term limits. The root of our political problems is term limits and life benefits.

RINOs are just run-of-the-mill democrats that happen to live in red districts. They have to pretend to get elected and stay seated but when it comes down to it, they're still duh mass democrats.

How is it our founders missed term limits? How is it when the 22nd amendment was written they saw fit to limit presidential terms but not congressional terms. Fail all the way around.

Agree. Anyone who thinks letting someone serve an unlimited number of years in Government "service" to be a great idea is an idiot.

One good hurricane related storm surge will cure that issue.
