    Default Hurricane Updates

We are supposed to be headed to hunting island Wednesday, hows the hurricane coming through down there at the moment?

We're getting the worst of it now. It's a bit gusty but I've probably fished in worse.

Rain in goose creek, zero wind. I've seen late afternoon summer thunder storms that were way worse than this. Now that I think about it, my sprinkler is more menacing than this storm.

Was at the house at Edisto today at 12 and it was normal thunderstorm windy, but once you got to flower’s it wasn’t even blowing. Rained more the week of the 4th

Here in West Ashley it was just rain and some breeze. The storm we had Saturday afternoon was worse than that!

Yep our yard west of the Ashley flooded several times earlier this summer and we barely had a puddle in the back yard.

Isnt it coming in on a high tide in MI. One webcam shows it lapping over the marshwalk.
Honey...I'll do it after the season is over.

Yes. Our family friend has over 2 feet of water under his house in Garden City on the creek side.

So far, 4 inches of rain and 40-50mph winds according to his weather station mounted on the house.

Edit: He is getting 60+ mph gusts out of the NW now.

Raining and breezy here 1.5 mile inland from PI. Nothing concerning.

It made landfall over in Ocean Isle Beach supposedly. Ventusky's predicted path was very accurate.

The metal roof made the brief sustained winds of maybe 50 MPH sound like 200. We felt the front of the storm from 10 to 11. Then calm. Then the backside whapped us a bit.

Damage is from Cherry Grove north. Storm surge plus high tide put water in houses. Ocean Isle and Oak island got hit pretty good. Damage didn’t go very far inland.
