    What length barrel is best for an ar 10 that’s mostly gonna be used on pigs

    I was thinking 16 so it would be a little lighter and shorter
    Biggie I may pm you a link to an upper I was thinking about getting and maybe you can give me some info on it

    I have a 16 on mine because I usually keep a can on it. Mine is a carbon wrapped barrel with a carbon handguard and the rig still doesn't feel light.

    Shorter is lighter but louder, longer is heaver but quieter. Mine is 20" and I really like it

    There's no such thing as a light weight AR-10.

    The weight is in the BCG and barrel. Lighten both and you can lighten an AR10.
    My 18” 308 doesn’t weigh much more than my 18” 223, until you put a mag full of ammo in it.
