    Default Fig Preserves...

Who loves ‘em? Put up 56 jars yesterday. Our tree is showing no signs of slowing down. Probably do this again in 2 weeks.

Mine will be ready to preserve in a couple of weeks. Country ham biscuits and fig preserves are on time.

I can’t keep from eating them before turning them into preserves.

My Mamaw is currently on her 112th jar as of 5pm today. I’m tired of stirring.

Mix some strawberries in there and you have something special when mixed with fresh sourdough bread

That’s great. Would you mind posting pictures of the tree?

My granny has a fig tree beside her garage. I know of at least 3 times in my 33 years I have cut that thing down to a stump. You can't kill them. She used to make fig preserves and everyone loved them. My grandfather especially. He died in 2007 and she hasn't made any since

I loved them as a kid. One day I ate them and then ended up with the stomach bug and haven't been able to touch them since.
